Undermount Sink
Do you know whether or not you have an undermount sink or a drop-in sink? The difference is in the installation, and the way that they are installed is actually pointed out in the name that they have.
Drop-in sinks are dropped into a hole in your bathroom countertop, and undermount sinks are attached underneath that hole, with the countertop actually taking up the top edge of the sink itself. These have been used in homes and businesses as basic sinks for years, and the styles and designs of them have been modernized many times, with seemingly no plans of slowing down from the developers of these widely used vanity sinks.
Vanity Sink
Do you know exactly what type of vanity sink that you want for your bathroom renovation? If you don’t, then you’re in good company, because most homeowners who are looking for bathroom remodeling in Fort Lauderdale don’t know what kind they want initially either!
In fact, most folks don’t know exactly what they desire until they see it, and are sometimes depending on us as experienced and reputable bathroom contractors to give them suggestions. We never mind telling you what we think would fit well within a certain space, and we feel that every good bathroom contractor should never have a problem doing that for their clients, especially if they have done similar jobs before.
Still, when it comes to your bathroom vanity sink, the key word is vanity, and you should be able to indulge in and treat yourself to a lovely sink that you really like in this very much used space within the bathroom. There’s a wide spectrum of designs and styles, but if you’re not familiar with all the options that are available to you, then you could end up seeing something later on that you would have wished you’d gotten, and by then you would have already done the bathroom renovation.
Maybe you had self-rimming sinks before. These are the type that actually sit a little above your vanity countertop and they are installed literally by dropping them into the hole that the sink fits in prior to us sealing it into place for your use. These are sometimes confused with undermount sinks, and they sort of look the same. But the fact that one protrudes above the surface of your hard countertop (the drop-in sink) makes them different.
Vessel Sink
Have you ever seen those vanity sinks that don’t look like sinks at all at least not at first. In fact, to many people, some of the most basic styles of vessel sinks resemble a big bowl sitting on the counter!
If you didn’t know any better (and you didn’t see a faucet and knobs somewhere close to it), you’d probably think it really was a bowl if you hadn’t seen one of these before. Vessel sinks are some of the most beautiful types out there and they come in all kinds of lovely styles, from glass to ceramic to even some that have a gold exterior.
